Data protection for GDPR, it’s a tough job

Since the rolling out of GDPR the legal negotiations for software as a service contracts has only gotten tougher. GDPR has had a lot of underlying implications on startup companies who rely on data not just to provide their service but also to make their products better and to grow their companies. With GDPR and other areas of the world starting to role out similar data protection requirements (such as California) a lot of startup companies are required to name someone as a Data Protection Officer.

What is a data protection officer?

A data protection officer is the person in a company who’s job it is to ensure that all data protection laws are adhered to in the process of providing the companies service. The primary reason for having a data protection officer is to keep your company up to date with the demands of GDPR.
